Sometimes, the parishes were referred to by different names – they are generally fairly obvious in that we have selected the local information – Broughton might be Broughton West, Kirkby in Furness may be Kirkby Ireleth and Seathwaite is linked with Dunnerdale.
Some of the Directories did not split up the parishes in separate sections but produced a composite report which contained details of information for a wider area. We have identified these as composite directories
